- 2 eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 lemon, zest and juice
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Powdered sugar for dusting

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and softened butter until well combined.

Add the flour, baking powder, lemon zest, and lemon juice to the bowl. Mix until the batter is smooth and well incorporated.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
