  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Mix well.

  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  5. Fold in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.

  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  7. Allow the chocolate squares to cool before cutting into squares.
