Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup kumquats, halved and seeded
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Zest of 1 orange

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the cranberries, kumquats, sugar, orange juice, and water.

  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the cranberries burst and the kumquats soften.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in the orange zest.

  4. Let the relish cool before serving. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
