  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 100g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100g all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Optional toppings: nuts, dried fruits, sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a square baking dish with parchment paper.

  2. In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter together over a double boiler, stirring until smooth.

  3. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  4. Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.

  5. Sift in the flour and salt, folding gently until just combined.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.

  7. If desired, sprinkle with your favorite toppings.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly soft.

  9. Remove from the oven and let cool completely in the dish before cutting into squares or rectangles.
