How To Make Lebanese Spinach Pies
These savory pies are a classic Lebanese dish, stuffed with a flavorful spinach and onion mixture.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Slowly add in water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes.

Divide the dough into 8 pieces. Roll each piece into a small circle.

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and sauté until translucent.

Add in chopped spinach, salt, and pepper. Cook until spinach is wilted.

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Spoon the spinach mixture onto each dough circle, leaving a small border around the edges.

Fold the edges of the dough over the spinach mixture, creating a small pocket. Press the edges together to seal.

Brush the tops of each pie with olive oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Place on a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
