- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons sake (Japanese rice wine)
- 1 tablespoon mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 4 green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 4 bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, sake, mirin, garlic, and ginger to make the marinade.
