Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs pork tenderloin
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp five-spice powder
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, five-spice powder, and red pepper flakes (if desired).

  3. Place the pork tenderloin in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Let it marinate for at least 20 minutes, or up to overnight in the refrigerator.

  4. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated pork tenderloin. Sear it on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.

  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast the pork tenderloin for about 12-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

  6. Remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  7. Garnish with sliced green onions, and serve with rice or your favorite Asian-style side dish.
