Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs pork tenderloin
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp five-spice powder
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
-
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, five-spice powder, and red pepper flakes (if desired).
-
Place the pork tenderloin in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Let it marinate for at least 20 minutes, or up to overnight in the refrigerator.
-
Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated pork tenderloin. Sear it on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
-
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast the pork tenderloin for about 12-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
-
Remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
-
Garnish with sliced green onions, and serve with rice or your favorite Asian-style side dish.
