Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 jar of marinara sauce
  • 4 sub sandwich rolls
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, dried basil, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, egg, and salt. Mix well.

  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.

  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.

  6. Meanwhile, heat the marinara sauce on low heat in a saucepan.

  7. Once the meatballs are cooked, add them to the saucepan with marinara sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  8. Cut the sub rolls lengthwise and place them in the oven to toast for 5 minutes.

  9. Fill each sub roll with the meatballs and marinara sauce.

  10. Top each sub with shredded mozzarella cheese.

  11. Place the subs back in the oven to broil for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  12. Serve hot and enjoy!
