  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half lengthwise, remove the pits, and scoop out the flesh into a medium-sized bowl.

  2. Add the red onion, cilantro, garlic, jalapeño, lime juice, and salt to the bowl with the avocado.

  3. Use a fork to mash all of the ingredients together until well combined but still slightly chunky.

  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

  5. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
