Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound chicken gizzards, finely chopped
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.

  2. Add onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic. Cook until vegetables are tender.

  3. Add ground beef and chicken gizzards. Cook until meat is browned and cooked through.

  4. Add cooked rice, Cajun seasoning, paprika, thyme, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.

  5. Cook for an additional 5-10 minutes, until flavors are well combined and rice is heated through. Serve hot.
