  • 4 cups peeled and sliced fresh peaches
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Combine sliced peaches, 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp salt in a large bowl and mix well.

  3. Pour melted butter and vanilla extract over peach mixture and mix well.

  4. Transfer mixture to a 9×9 inch baking dish.

  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and 1/4 tsp salt.

  6. Stir in milk until batter is smooth.

  7. Pour batter over peach mixture, spreading it evenly.

  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until crust is golden brown and center is cooked through.

  9. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired.
