Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken, cut into cubes
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 green chillies, sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, and sauté until onions are translucent.

  2. Add chicken cubes and cook until they turn golden brown.

  3. Add red and green bell peppers, green chillies, soy sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, sugar, and salt. Mix well.

  4. Cover the pan and let the chicken cook for 10-15 minutes or until it is tender and cooked through.

  5. Remove the lid and cook for another 5 minutes to thicken the sauce.

  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or noodles.
