Ingredients

  • 4 blood oranges
  • 2 red chilli peppers
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Wash the blood oranges and chilli peppers.

  2. Remove the zest from the blood oranges and chop it finely.

  3. Slice the blood oranges and remove the seeds.

  4. Chop the chilli peppers into small pieces.

  5. Place the blood oranges, chilli peppers, and zest into a pot.

  6. Squeeze the juice from the lemon and add it to the pot.

  7. Add the sugar to the pot and stir well.

  8. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  9. Reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

  10. After 1 hour, increase the heat to medium and simmer for another 30 minutes, or until the marmalade thickens.

  11. Remove the pot from the heat and let the marmalade cool for a few minutes.

  12. Transfer the marmalade into sterilized jars and let it cool completely before sealing.

  13. Store in a cool, dark place.
