How To Make Toad in the Hole

Toad in the hole is just a very fun name for a breakfast dish with egg cooked in the middle of a piece of toast. It’s a classic meal to start your day with.

  • 1tspbutter
  • 1large egg
  • salt and pepper,to taste



    1. In a small skillet, melt 1 teaspoon butter. In the middle of the bread, cut a 3-inch hole and place in the skillet.

    2. Crack egg and pour in the hole. Cook over medium heat for about 2 minutes or until the bread is lightly browned.

    3. Turn and cook the other side until egg yolk is almost set. Season as desired with salt and pepper. Enjoy warm.
