How To Make Buttermilk French Toast

Ingredients
- ½cupbuttermilk
- ½cupmilk,or half and half
- 5eggs
- 1tbspgranulated sugar
- 2tbspall-purpose flour
- ⅛tspbaking powder
- ⅛tspsalt
- ¾tspground cinnamon
- pinchnutmeg
- 1tspvanilla extract
- 10slicesfrench bread,day old
Instructions

Preheat the nonstick griddle over medium heat.

Combine the buttermilk, milk, eggs, sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract in a blender.

Blend the mixture on low speed for 10 seconds.

Pour the mixture into a shallow bowl.

Butter the preheated griddle.

Dip the bread into the blended mixture, making sure to cover both sides.

Place the bread on the griddle, then cook for 2 to 3 minutes, until golden brown.

Lift the french toast with a spatula, then butter griddle again and flip the bread back onto the griddle.

Cook the opposite side until golden.
