How To Make Denver Omelette

The Denver omelette is a classic breakfast egg dish that has ham and bell peppers- perfect for if you want to serve a special weekend brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1tspolive oil
  • ¼cupwhite onion,diced
  • ¼cupbell peppers,diced
  • ¼cupham,diced and cooked
  • 2large eggs
  • 1tbspmilk
  • hot sauce,optional

Instructions

  1. Pour olive oil into a nonstick skillet and heat over medium.

  2. Once the oil is warm, add onion and peppers and sauté about 2 minutes. Add the ham and cook for 2 more minutes.

  3. Whisk together the eggs and milk, then pour into the skillet. Cook about 3 minutes, until edges are dry and the top is no longer runny.

  4. Gently slide a spatula under the omelet and flip one side onto the other. Cook 1 minute, flip omelet, then cook 1 more minute.

  5. Slide or flip the omelet onto a plate. Drizzle with hot sauce, if desired.
