Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 ¼ cups warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp nigella seeds

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.

  2. Gradually add the warm water and olive oil to the flour mixture, stirring until a dough forms.

  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into 4 equal portions.

  7. Roll out each portion into a circle, about ¼ inch thick.

  8. Transfer the dough circles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  9. Sprinkle the sesame seeds and nigella seeds over the bread circles.

  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  11. Remove from the oven and let the bread cool slightly before serving.
