Ingredients

  • 250g beef mince
  • 250g pork mince
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 zucchini, grated
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.

  2. Add the beef and pork mince to the pan, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through.

  3. Add the grated carrot, zucchini, and diced red bell pepper to the pan. Cook for another 5 minutes, until vegetables are tender.

  4. Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef stock, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 15-20 minutes, until flavors are well combined.

  5. Serve the multi mince recipe hot, with your choice of side dishes such as mashed potatoes or pasta.
