Ingredients

  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 4 anchovy fillets, chopped
  • 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped anchovies. Cook until the anchovies dissolve and the garlic is fragrant, about 2 minutes.

  3. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes, until they are tender-crisp.

  4. Stir in the red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

  5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine everything well.

  6. Serve the spaghetti with broccoli and anchovies hot, topped with grated parmesan cheese.
