Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 packet of taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 taco shells
  • Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic and cook until the onion is translucent.

  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces with a spoon or spatula.

  3. Drain any excess fat from the skillet and then return it to the heat.

  4. Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the ground beef and stir to coat. Add the water and stir until the seasoning is fully dissolved and the mixture is heated through.

  5. Remove from heat and prepare your taco shells according to package instructions.

  6. Fill each taco shell with a generous portion of the beef mixture and top with your desired toppings.

  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
