Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp black bean sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, marinate the beef with black bean sauce for 10 minutes.

  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.

  3. Stir-fry the onion, bell pepper, garlic, and ginger for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

  4. Add the marinated beef and cook for another 3-4 minutes until browned.

  5. Mix in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and water. Cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  6. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot with steamed rice.
