One-Pan Duck with Savoy Cabbage Recipe

How To Make One-Pan Duck with Savoy Cabbage

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 duck breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 small Savoy cabbage, shredded
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Score the duck skin and season with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Place the duck breasts, skin side down, and cook for 5 minutes until crispy. Flip and cook for another 3 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.

  3. In the same pan, add onions and garlic. Sauté until softened.

  4. Add shredded cabbage and cook for 5 minutes, until wilted.

  5. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, and brown sugar. Pour over the cabbage mixture and stir until well coated.

  6. Return the duck breasts to the pan, skin side up, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

  7. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing the duck.

  8. Serve the sliced duck with the sautéed cabbage.
