  • 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and garlic, and cook until the mushrooms have released their moisture and are golden brown.

  2. Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for a minute to reduce slightly.

  3. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.

  4. Serve the mushrooms in white wine sauce over rice or toasted bread. Garnish with fresh parsley.
