Ingredients

  • 1 ciabatta loaf, sliced in half horizontally
  • 8 slices of mozzarella cheese
  • 8 slices of salami
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Place the ciabatta halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.

  3. Layer the mozzarella cheese and salami evenly on the bottom half of the ciabatta.

  4. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, chopped basil, salt, and pepper.

  5. Drizzle the olive oil mixture evenly over the salami.

  6. Place the top half of the ciabatta on the sandwich.

  7. Wrap the entire sandwich in aluminum foil.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is warmed through.

  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before unwrapping and slicing into individual portions.

  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
