How To Make Caprese Breakfast Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 ciabatta rolls, sliced in half
  • 8 slices of fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tomato, sliced thin
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 tsp of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet on medium heat.

  2. Add 1 tsp of olive oil to the skillet.

  3. Crack an egg into a small dish and pour it into the skillet. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Once the egg starts to set, add a slice of mozzarella cheese on top and cover with a lid for about 1 minute or until the cheese melts and egg is fully cooked.

  5. Toast the ciabatta rolls in a toaster or under the broiler.

  6. Assemble the sandwich by placing the egg and cheese mixture on the bottom half of the ciabatta roll. Top with slices of tomato and sprinkle with fresh basil.

  7. Drizzle some olive oil on top of the sandwich and add the top half of the ciabatta roll.

  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
