How To Make Sweet Tamarind Chutney

Ingredients

  • 1 cup tamarind pulp
  • 1 cup jaggery, grated
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, add tamarind pulp, jaggery, and water. Cook on medium heat until jaggery dissolves.

  2. Add cumin seeds, ginger, red chili powder, roasted cumin powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another 10 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat and allow the chutney to cool.

  4. Blend the mixture in a blender until smooth.

  5. Strain the chutney to remove any lumps.

  6. Serve the sweet tamarind chutney with snacks or as a dip.
