How To Make Chorizo Jam

Ingredients
- 8 oz chorizo, casing removed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp dried chili flakes
- 1/4 cup water
- Salt, to taste
Instructions

In a large skillet, cook the chorizo over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Break it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, until the onion is soft and translucent.

Stir in the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, dried chili flakes, and water. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Taste and season with salt, if necessary.

Remove from heat and let the chorizo jam cool before transferring it to jars or containers. It will thicken as it cools.
