Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes, until tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

  3. Add the cooked green beans to the skillet and sprinkle with dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat the beans in the herb mixture.

  4. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are heated through and slightly caramelized.

  5. Serve hot as a side dish with your favorite main course.
