How To Make Hot Cross Buns Cookies Recipe
Soft and buttery cookies with all the flavors of hot cross buns, perfect for Easter!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp milk
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a medium bowl, cream butter and brown sugar together until just combined.

Add in egg and vanilla extract, mix until fully incorporated.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Slowly stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Add raisins and mix until evenly distributed.

Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cookies are lightly browned.

Allow to cool completely before icing.

In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar and milk together until smooth.

Drizzle the icing in the shape of a cross over each cookie.
