  • 8 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped ham
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (such as parsley, chives, or basil)
  • 1 tbsp butter or cooking oil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. Melt the butter or heat the cooking oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, pour in the egg mixture.

  3. Let the eggs cook for about 2 minutes until they start to set.

  4. Sprinkle the ham, cheddar cheese, and fresh herbs evenly over half of the omelette.

  5. Use a spatula to carefully fold the other half of the omelette over the filling.

  6. Cook the omelette for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the egg is cooked through.

  7. Slide the omelette onto a serving plate and cut into quarters.

  8. Serve hot with toast and fresh fruit on the side.
