How To Make Polish Sausage and Bean Stew

Warm, hearty and flavorful stew made with Polish sausage, tender beans and fragrant vegetables.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can white beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 package of Polish sausage, sliced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.

  2. Add onion, garlic and bell pepper. Cook for 5 minutes until softened.

  3. Add sliced sausage and cook for 5 minutes until browned.

  4. Add diced tomatoes, chicken broth, white beans and smoked paprika.

  5. Season with salt and pepper.

  6. Simmer for 30 minutes until stew is thickened and flavors are melded.

  7. Serve hot with crusty bread and garnish with fresh parsley.
