Ingredients
- 2 cups of turnips, peeled and diced
- 2 cups of butternut squash, peeled and diced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions

In a large pot, steam the turnips and butternut squash until they are tender, about 20 minutes.

Drain the vegetables and transfer them to a bowl.

Using a potato masher or fork, smash the turnips and butternut squash until they reach your desired consistency.

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add the smashed turnips and butternut squash to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
