Ingredients

  • 2 leeks, sliced
  • 200g ham, diced
  • 200g cheddar cheese, grated
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the leeks and cook until softened.

  3. Add the diced ham to the skillet and cook for another 2 minutes.

  4. Sprinkle the flour over the leeks and ham, stirring well to coat. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

  5. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens. Season with salt and pepper.

  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with grated cheddar cheese.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.

  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
