Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons turkey drippings or butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups turkey or chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat the turkey drippings or butter over medium heat.

  2. Add the flour and whisk constantly for about 1-2 minutes until it turns golden brown.

  3. Slowly pour in the turkey or chicken broth while continuing to whisk, until the mixture is smooth.

  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 10-15 minutes until the gravy thickens, stirring occasionally.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Strain the gravy through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any lumps.

  7. Serve the turkey gravy hot with roasted turkey.
