- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
-
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and 1/4 cup water. Set aside.
-
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the beef slices and cook until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
-
In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until crisp-tender.
-
Return the beef to the skillet with the broccoli and garlic. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and broccoli. Stir well to coat everything in the sauce.
-
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli. Add sesame oil and red pepper flakes (if using) and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
-
Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
