Ingredients

  • 8 chicken wings, halved and washed
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, hot or mild, cut in bite sized chunks
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • chicken broth , to cover
  • White rice, optional

Instructions

  1. Chop all the vegetables and place in a crockpot along with chicken and sausage.
  2. Add broth or you can use water if you prefer.

  3. Cover and slow cook on high 3-4 hours or 5-6 hours on low.
  4. Serve over rice or have it on the side.
  5. If you like it thicker, mix a little flour with cold water, enough to make just a thin paste and add it last few minutes of cooking.
