  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup Bisquick mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions, celery, and garlic. Cook until the vegetables are softened.

  2. Stir in the chicken, peas, carrots, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the Bisquick and milk to form a soft dough.

  4. Drop spoonfuls of the dough into the simmering chicken mixture. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, or until the dumplings are cooked through.
