Ingredients

  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the green beans, onion, and garlic in a slow cooker.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.

  3. Pour the mixture over the green beans and stir to combine.

  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 4 hours or until the green beans are tender.

  5. Serve hot and enjoy!
