How To Make Tuna Melt

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of tuna, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 slices of bread
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the tuna, mayonnaise, red onion, celery, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

  2. Spread the tuna mixture evenly over 4 slices of bread. Top each with a slice of cheddar cheese and another slice of bread.

  3. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Spread butter on one side of each sandwich and place them butter-side down in the skillet.

  4. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown and flip the sandwiches. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is crisp.

  5. Remove from the skillet and let cool for a minute before serving. Cut the sandwiches in half diagonally and enjoy!
