Ingredients

  • 500g prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 1 red chili, finely chopped
  • 1 spring onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, blitz the prawns until minced.

  2. In a bowl, combine the minced prawns, red chili, spring onion, garlic, ginger paste, fish sauce, soy sauce, and breadcrumbs. Mix well.

  3. Shape the mixture into small patties.

  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

  5. Cook the prawn cakes for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.

  6. Serve hot with sweet chili sauce.
