Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 6-8 minutes
Total: 16-18 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup of tequila
  • 1/4 cup of freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 tsp of black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp of red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine tequila, lime juice, minced garlic, cilantro, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.

  2. Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat in the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

  4. Thread the shrimp onto skewers, piercing through the tail and head to prevent them from spinning on the grill.

  5. Brush the grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.

  6. Grill the shrimp for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque.

  7. Remove the shrimp from the grill and serve immediately.
