Ingredients

  • 4 halibut fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp capers
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Season the halibut fillets with salt and pepper.

  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

  4. Place the halibut fillets in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until browned.

  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, until the fish is cooked through.

  6. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

  7. Add the capers and lemon juice to the skillet and cook for another 2 minutes, until heated through.

  8. Serve the halibut fillets with the caper sauce on top.
