How To Make BBQ Sardines with Chermoula Sauce

Ingredients
- 8 fresh sardines, gutted and cleaned
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- For the chermoula sauce:
- 1 cup packed fresh parsley leaves
- 1 cup packed fresh cilantro leaves
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

Preheat your grill to medium heat.

In a blender or food processor, combine all the chermoula sauce ingredients and blend until smooth. Set aside.

Brush the sardines with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Place the sardines on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.

Remove the sardines from the grill and serve hot, drizzled with the chermoula sauce.
