How To Make Prawn & Harissa Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 300g spaghetti
  • 250g prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp harissa paste
  • 1 can (400g) chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened.

  3. Add the prawns to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until pink and cooked through.

  4. Stir in the harissa paste, chopped tomatoes, sugar, and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the pan and toss to coat the pasta in the sauce.

  6. Serve the prawn and harissa spaghetti in bowls, garnished with fresh parsley.
