Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons harissa paste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup dried lentils
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a small bowl, mix harissa paste, olive oil, paprika, cumin powder, salt, and pepper.

Rub the chicken breasts with the harissa mixture, coating them well.

Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook the chicken for 25-30 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Meanwhile, rinse the lentils under cold water and drain them.

In a large saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, and sauté until they turn translucent.

Add the lentils, chicken broth, and lemon zest to the saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until the lentils are tender.

Serve the spicy harissa chicken on a bed of lentils and garnish with fresh cilantro.
