Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 pita bread
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup diced cucumbers
  • 1/2 cup diced lettuce
  • 1/2 cup Donair sauce

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, paprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix well.

  2. Shape the meat mixture into a log shape and place on a baking sheet. Bake at 375°F for 1 hour.

  3. While the meat is cooking, prepare the pita bread and toppings.

  4. Warm the pita bread in the oven or on a stovetop skillet.

  5. Once the meat is cooked, thinly slice it.

  6. Spread Donair sauce on the warm pita bread and top with sliced meat, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and lettuce.

  7. Roll up the pita bread tightly and enjoy!
