Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced steak
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices of provolone cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add onions and bell peppers, and sauté until they begin to soften.

  3. Push onions and bell peppers to one side of the skillet, and add sliced steak to the other side. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Cook steak until browned and cooked through, stirring occasionally.

  5. Preheat broiler.

  6. Slice hoagie rolls in half, and place them on a baking sheet. Toast them under the broiler until golden.

  7. Once rolls are toasted, remove from oven.

  8. Divide the steak, onions, and bell peppers evenly among the rolls.

  9. Top each sandwich with 2 slices of provolone cheese.

  10. Place sandwiches back under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  11. Serve hot and enjoy!
