  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, bell pepper, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned and cooked through.

  2. Drain any excess fat.

  3. Add ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

  4. Simmer the mixture for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Toast the hamburger buns.

  6. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the bottom half of each bun, and top with the other half.
