Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 4 small sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, lime juice, olive oil, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  2. Add the beef slices to the bowl and toss to coat evenly. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.

  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the marinated beef, sliced onion, and bell peppers. Cook until the beef is browned and the vegetables are tender, about 8-10 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile, steam the sweet potato cubes until they are tender, about 8-10 minutes.

  5. Once the beef and vegetables are cooked, remove from heat and stir in the steamed sweet potato cubes.

  6. Sprinkle the chopped cilantro over the dish.

  7. Serve the Brazilian-style beef with sweet potato salad hot and enjoy!
