Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup black olives, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  3. Add the cherry tomatoes and cook until they start to soften and release their juices, about 5 minutes.

  4. Stir in the black olives and cook for another 2 minutes.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.

  7. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh basil.

  8. Serve the spaghetti with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
